Ok, so what about me????
My name is Neil and as you have probably guessed by now, I like to take photographs!
So how did I get here?
Well, it all started with my love for Motor Racing. Many hours were spent taking photos of cars going round and round, and then many more hours were spent wondering why my pictures did not look like the ones in the magazines! It didn't take too long for me to realise that there was a lot more to this photography lark then just pointing your camera at something and hoping for the best.
What did I do?
I gave up of course...... but then I got married, and after watching my wedding photographer work like crazy and produce some amazing photos I just had to learn how it was done.
So, after nagging my new wife for hours and hours, she decided that the best thing she could do is buy me a new camera and send me off to school! Since then I have not looked back.... I found that if there is one thing I love more than taking photos of cars (and my wife!), its taking photos of people and if there is one thing better than taking photos of people, its taking photos of people on the most important day of their lives.
I have developed my own style and approach to a wedding day. From the morning through to the evening, I like to blend in to the background, capturing moments as they unfold and never interfering or staging photos (well not often anyway). This style is often referred to as "documentary" or "reportage" photography, I am yet to come up with a better name.
Do I ever do anything that does not involve taking pictures?
Not often.... but it does happen. I have probably made it quite clear that I love Formula One and motor sport, and when it comes to my home life I can be a bit of a geek. I watch far too much telly, play far too many computer games, and spend far too long trying to teach my dog over complicated tricks, when all he wants to do is run after a ball. So you may have already seen me and my wife in the park, or in the woods, chasing after a black Labrador desperately trying to stop him jumping into every muddy puddle he finds...
So that is me, if you are still reading then thank you.... many people have not made it this far!
In all seriousness, I absolutely love what I do, I have the greatest job in the world and it is always an honour and a privilege to be chosen to photograph a wedding.
Please feel free to get in touch for a chat about your big day.... (or anything else.)
Thanks for taking the time to read a little about my life, and hopefully you can tell me a little about yours.
